Mental Health First Aid Training

If you’ve never completed Mental Health First Aid training, can I encourage you to come along as this training is exceptionally beneficial to anyone in ministry. It covers how to respond to someone experiencing depression, anxiety, psychosis, addictions, and suicidal thoughts and behaviours. This training equips you with the confidence to approach people who are an immediate suicide risk ensuring you can provide an appropriate response.

COURSE INFORMATION

  • 12 hr Standard Mental Health First Aid Course
  • Course topics cover: Developing mental health problems, depression, anxiety, psychosis, self-harm, and substance use problems, as well as suicide and other mental health crisis
  • Participants receive a copy of the 180 page manual, including referrals
  • Participants are eligible to become an accredited Mental Health First Aider
  • Whilst the training is a nationally recognised secular course it will be presented from a Christian perspective, using ministry examples throughout
